You know that,

The municipality’s parks provide recreational opportunities and pleasant places to spend time for residents of all ages. Public green spaces allow you to sit back and enjoy the diversity of nature.

Spending time in a play park is fun and rewarding for children and adults alike. For children, playgrounds are an important place to develop social skills, imagination and physical abilities. For adults, play parks can be a comfortable meeting place where they can relax and watch children at play. And, of course, a place to socialise and relax amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Our network of parks will expand significantly in the coming years. A new, welcoming seating area is planned for the city centre, which will be completed in 2025. The Pharmacist’s Park will provide a peaceful place to rest, play and enjoy the splendour of the flowers.

We have built the park in Taivallahti, the only agricultural land in the municipality. The plots enrich the lives of both the farmers and the community, creating a space for learning, interaction and well-being. In Taivallahti’s pleasant park area, you can observe the life of the meadow mounds, sit by the stormwater pool and admire the soothing landscape nature provides, while the grasses and flowers sway in the breeze. The future parks will make our municipality even greener and more attractive to all its residents.

Our municipality also has two dog parks. The Kanavatie dog park, located in the village, which is beautifully situated in the immediate vicinity of the Siilinlahti. And the wooded park in Vuorela, where dogs can romp in the wonderful shade of the trees. In the dog park, dogs can run around and explore freely while socialising with other dogs. For owners, the dog park is a great place to give your dog exercise and meet other dog owners. So a dog park is a great place for your dog to unwind and make new friends in a safe environment!
We hope you enjoy your time alone, with two or with a family of any size in our parks.
