In Siilinjärvi, early childhood education is organised as full-time and part-time early childhood education services in municipal and private kindergartens and family day-care. The formation of early childhood education groups is guided by the size of the groups and the Early Childhood Education Act and Decree. Extended opening hours are offered at the kindergarten Pilvilinna and 24-hour early childhood education at the kindergarten Pikkusiili.

In early childhood education, a early childhood education service director handles children’s applications, directs them to the service they need and sends the decision documents for early childhood education and pre-school places to their guardians.
