Siilinjärvi has a total of 9 kindergartens and one pre-school place. In addition, there are four private day-care centres in Siilinjärvi.
Siilinjärvi’s municipal kindergartens employ about 230 staff and care for about 850 children, of whom about 250 are in pre-school education.

The Haaparinte kindergarten is a kindergarten that opened in December 2012. Our kindergarten offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including a playground, skating rink and cross-country skiing track. We also use the nearby forest as a playground and picnic area.
There are three groups of children in the nursery.

Kindergarten Pikkusiili is located in Vuorela, by the Kallavesi lake, next to Kunnonpaikka. The Pikkusiili day nursery is also home to a family day care centre in the area.
The Pikkusiili day nursery is always open when you need it: 24 hours a day, including weekends and nights. Shift care is for children from families who work regular shifts and is provided according to the parents’ work needs. Day care is provided in the Daisies group.

Located in the Harjamäki residential area, the Pilvilinna Day Care Centre is not unnoticed by passers-by. Building S2, which was completed in 1926 and has been the main building of the hospital community for decades and has housed the day nursery since 1997, is a sturdy and rooted part of the Savoese local history. The old hospital building lives on today and is now the Innocum Business Centre.
Siilinjärvi’s largest day care centre, Pilvilinna, has 14 groups for children aged 1-6,
There are around 250 children and just over 60 staff.
Pilvilinna Day Nursery is open on weekdays, according to pre-booked childcare hours, from 5.00 to 22.30.

The kindergarten is located in North Silinjärvi along Viitostie and is in the same building as the Pöljä school. The kindergarten-school building, completed in 2002, is located in the immediate vicinity of a forest, so that the yard offers a wide range of outdoor activities, sports and hiking areas.
The staff includes an administrative director, three early childhood teachers and three early childhood nursery nurses. A special teacher for early childhood education visits the nursery 1-2 times a month. The kitchen and cleaning staff are shared with the school.
The daily opening hours of the day care centre are according to the pre-booked hours, from Monday to Friday, between 6.00-17.00. Pre-school hours are from 8.30 to 12.30 on weekdays.

The Toivala day nursery operates in two locations. The new day care centre on Pajapolku, which opened in August 2019, and the Pikkusiil day care centre in the backyard, in a sliced building completed in 2018.
