Construction and demolition waste
All appendices are in Finnish.
Construction and demolition waste must be sorted and delivered to the appropriate collection points. Treated wood, untreated wood, impregnated wood, metals, concrete and brick waste, etc. should be sorted separately from other waste. Kuopio Waste Centre accepts several types of sorted construction and demolition waste free of charge. Smaller quantities of construction waste are also accepted at the Siilinjärvi sorting station.
A separate form for the handling of demolition waste(demolition waste report) is submitted to the building control authority when applying for a demolition permit from the municipal building control authority or when submitting a demolition notification for the demolition of a building.
The Tukeva Work Coaching Foundation’s Living Shop (Räisäläntie 3, phone 0440 225 840) accepts building materials in good condition, including kitchen utensils, windows and doors with frames, and timber. The shop is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shop has a delivery and collection service, phone 0440 225 852.
