Reporting early childhood care times (Edlevo)
Carers can easily report their children’s planned care times and known absences in advance using the Edlevo mobile app or the web version. The child’s official guardians can use Edlevo.
Book your appointments at least one week before the start of the treatment week by 24:00 on Sunday.
If caregivers have problems with reporting childcare hours through Edlevo, please contact customer support either by e-mail at varhaiskasvatus(at)siilinjarvi.fi or by phone at Kerkko Holopainen 044 740 1963. Please make sure that you have the latest version of the Edlevo application. Edlevo version 5.2.0 on iOS devices and 5.3.0 on Android devices
(iOS version 13.0 or higher and Android version 7.0 or higher)
Bookings for nursing hours will close on Sunday at 24.00, at which time the next 7 days will be locked and no further changes can be made.
You can use Edlevo to report sudden absences during the lockout period for 1-3 days. If the reason for the absence is a communicable disease, you should call the child’s early childhood centre to report it.
Care times and any changes to them, as communicated by the carers, are transmitted to the early childhood centre in a timely manner and are essential for the timely scheduling of staff.
Note: when a child is in preschool only, the child’s “care time” is recorded as preschool from 8.30-12.30 (Pilvilinna 9-13). If the child needs supplementary early childhood education before and/or after the pre-school period, the “care time” is the whole day, e.g. 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free pre-school period is taken into account for billing purposes.
Carers can register up to six months in advance, and the times can be copied for several weeks, as well as for other siblings in care. If the child is placed in a parallel placement in another unit/group, the carer can use the app to report the hours/absences there as well, by selecting the placement first from the menu.
In addition:
- Through the app, caregivers can keep up-to-date track of the child’s booked childcare hours, the actual childcare hours and the hours to be billed.
- Information on early childhood education is provided via Edlevo (remember to allow notifications from Edlevo)
- Holiday period questionnaires and permit applications are completed in Edlevo
- The carer can check and edit their contact details
- The guardian can submit a statement of income with the necessary attachments, approve the highest payment or authorise a check of income data from the Incomes Register.
- A parent can report a child’s sudden absences for 1-3 days
- The guardian can inform the alternate applicant and his or her telephone number
- A parent can terminate a child’s early childhood education place
- The carer can see service decisions and payment decisions concerning the child/family
- Under the main menu of the app, you will find instructions on the different functions (also in English).
- You can select Finnish, Swedish or English as the language in the settings.
