Land use planning

The task of land use planning is to systematically develop a high-quality living and working environment for the people of Siilinjärvi. This is done by acquiring, zoning and releasing building land to developers for housing, services and business.

The planning process is based on the principles of comfort, safety and economy, as well as ensuring that local residents have the opportunity to participate in and influence the planning of their own environment.

Current planning projects are reported in the Planning Review. Information on ongoing planning projects is also available on the plans on view and pending pages.
