Primary education

In Siilinjärvi municipality, basic education is provided in 10 comprehensive schools, of which eight are for grades 1-6 and two for grades 7-9.

The primary schools have a total of around 1800 pupils, ranging in size from a village school of 50 pupils to a school of 490 pupils. The secondary school Ahmo is located in the centre of Siilinjärvi and has 580 pupils. The Suininlahti school is located in Toivala and has about 350 pupils.

Individual basic education for pupils with developmental disabilities or other developmental delays is provided in Siilinlahti school’s S-classes in grades 0-9.
