Preventive substance abuse work

Preventive substance abuse is the prevention and reduction of harm caused by substance abuse. It aims to reduce the demand, availability, supply and harm of substance abuse and to promote health, safety and well-being. Preventive drug dependence includes the prevention of alcohol, tobacco, drugs and gambling harm. The EPT coordinator Jaana provides training, advice and information on substance abuse/addiction issues.

Jaana works in schools and youth services, plans substance abuse education for professionals and other adults, and collaborates with business and industry according to the PAKKA model.
