Ahmo sports centre area

The Ahmo sports centre area in the immediate vicinity of the city centre (Myllykuja 8) offers a wide range of sports facilities.

The area is served by a sports field, which will be renovated in 2019. The fenced sports field has a 400-metre running track (8 tracks in the front straight, 6 circular tracks), field sports facilities and a street workout training area.

The sports field is open on weekdays from 8.00 to 21.30 and on weekends from 9.00 to 21.00. The field and running tracks are freely available for use by sports clubs outside training sessions. During the day, the field is primarily used by school and kindergarten groups.

The standard shifts for sports clubs usually start at 17.00 on weekdays.

– Artificial grass pitch 59 x 105 m (built 2009)

Tennis courts
– Two grass courts and one asphalt court

Fitness trail + cross-country trail
– A 1.7 km long fitness trail runs around the sports area. In winter, a 2.5 km long illuminated cross-country ski trail will be built. The easy trail, which offers several shorter routes, is also suitable for the youngest skiers in the family.

Hockey rink
– One of the rinks in the city centre is located in Ahmo. The changing rooms are open during the skating season from 9.00 to 21.00.
