Ski trails and fitness trails
The most popular and best-maintained slopes are found in the centre of the town, near the junction of the motorway and the 75 motorway, at the Patakukkula ski resort and the Tarinagolf area. Lights on the fitness trails / tracks come on at dusk and go out at 10 p.m. The tracks offer the possibility of traditional and free style skiing.
You can check the status of trail maintenance on the Fluent Outdoors trail information service. The service shows a map of the trail and by clicking on a trail you can see the latest date of maintenance for that particular trail. The most recent maintenance dates are also shown in the list on the left-hand side of the page.
The current situation is also reported in the winter sports bulletins in the section and on the sports department’s Facebook page.

The numbers refer to the numbering of the trails on the address and outdoor map. The map is available free of charge from the municipal office.

Ski jumping hills
In the city centre, at the junction of the motorway and the 75 motorway, there is a winter sports centre in the Patakukkula, from where the most prominent feature of the road is the so-called “Kuilun” jumps. The hills are K42, K20 and K15 and are plasticized, with the exception of K42. The hill centre provides direct access to the ski slopes.
The Siilinjärvi Ponnistus ski mountaineering team is responsible for the training and competition activities and the maintenance of the ski jumps.
