Manttu and Sahara baseball fields

Baseball is one of the most traditional and successful sports in the community. The sport is played by several junior and adult teams at good venues.

The sand pitch at Mantu, with its grandstand and officials’ buildings, is the main hub of activity – from training sessions for representative teams to baseball schools. The old-fashioned but cosy Mantu premises also house the club’s office, tel. 040 9127494 and e-mail toimisto(at)siipe.fi. For field reservations at Mantu and POP Arena, please contact the Siipe office at the above contact details. Mantu has new office and changing room facilities in addition to the old Mantu building.

The POP-Areena in Sahara is mainly used by junior teams for games and training. The three sandy tennis courts with hitting nets provide an excellent setting for the action. The POP Arena is managed by Siilinjärven Pesis ry.

Sandy playing fields can be found at the Ahmon, Kuuslahden, Pöljän, Hamula and Vuorela schools.
