Municipal veterinary clinics

There are currently five municipal veterinary clinics in the area. In addition, Siilinjärvi organises services in the Kuopio city area at the Vehmersalmi and Nilsiä veterinary clinics.

In addition to health and medical care for animals, the municipal veterinarians are responsible for animal disease control and export certificates.

Each veterinary clinic has an appointment and consultation time. However, in emergencies you can call these numbers and leave a voicemail on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Otherwise, call the emergency numbers directly. For out-of-hours emergency numbers, click here.

Siilinjärvi-Maaninka veterinary clinic:

1) Small animals

The clinic also uses an inhalation anaesthesia device, which reduces the risk of anaesthetic complications in small animals compared to intravenous anaesthesia.
