Siilinjärvi municipality has an electronic building site service, where you can find available building sites for single-family homes, terraced houses, apartment buildings and business construction.
The municipality allocates plots for detached houses, terraced houses and blocks of flats, mainly in areas covered by a land-use plan where streets and municipal services have been built. In rural areas, the availability of plots varies.
New plots for single-family houses are allocated 1-2 times a year during an application period to be announced, usually early in the year and/or in the autumn. Plots that remain vacant after the application period, as well as plots for which the reservation has expired, can be applied for on a continuous basis. Some plots may also be made available through a tendering procedure.
For information on the availability of plots for terraced houses and blocks of flats, please contact the Land Use Manager. New plots for terraced houses and blocks of flats are usually allocated on the basis of a call for tenders. Other vacant plots can be applied for by means of a free application. Decisions on the allocation of these plots are taken by the mayor.
For information on plots for business activities, please contact the Business Development Manager. Hybrid plots, where you can combine business and residential activities and also have the possibility to carry out business activities in addition to residential activities, can be used for business and residential purposes. Decisions on the transfer of business plots are made by the mayor.
