Fees
Environmental health services charge a fee for processing permits and notifications and for regular inspections of controlled sites. These fees are required by law.
The Siilinjärvi Municipal Council has approved the criteria for the environmental health services fee on 12.12.2011 (§ 50). The fee was approved at the meeting of the Environmental Health Committee on 17.12.2024 (§ 24).

The control fee is based on the time spent on the inspection. An inspection includes the time spent preparing for the inspection, the inspection and the time spent on the written work related to the inspection. An invoice for the control fee will be sent separately.
Guide to appeal against a control fee
If the operator is dissatisfied with the fee he has received, he may lodge an appeal in accordance with Chapter 7a of the Administrative Code (434/2003). The appeal must be submitted in writing within 30 days of notification to the Siilinjärvi Environmental Health Board (postal address Siilinjärvi municipality, P.O. Box 5, 71801 Siilinjärvi, ymparistoterveys@siilinjarvi.fi).
