Strategic land use plans

Siilinjärvi Municipality Land Use Policy Programme 2022 The updated programme was approved by the Municipal Council on 7.11.2022.

Land use policy refers to the combination of land policy and land use planning. Land use policy is guided by the obligation of the municipality to ensure a sufficient supply of land of sufficient quantity and attractive quality for housing, business and services. Land policy refers to those municipal activities relating to the acquisition and transfer of land, the drawing up of contracts leading to the acquisition and transfer of land, the management of land assets and the promotion of the implementation of land-use plans. The two main tools for land use planning are the master plan and the town and country plan.

The Kuopio Urban Spatial Development Plan 2030+ was prepared for the MAL agreement municipalities (Kuopio, Siilinjärvi, Lapinlahti, Suonenjoki, Leppävirta, Tuusniemi) and approved by the municipalities in the region during spring 2023. The plan was approved by the Siilinjärvi Municipal Council on 15 May 2023. The KSS data can be found in Maptionare.
