Well-being Promotion
The aim of well-being promotion is to support the well-being of local residents in a broad sense, prevent exclusion and strengthen inclusion. Promotion of well-being is one of the strategic objectives of Siilinjärvi municipality and it is implemented in multidisciplinary cooperation with different service areas, the third sector and other actors.
Siilinjärvi is involved in the Healthy Cities network and the regional Mieliteko programme, which aims to increase the mental well-being of North Savo residents and reduce substance abuse. You can read more about the programme on the Mielitekomedia website.
Well-being report
The well-being report is part of the municipality’s well-being management and decision making. It is used to target and guide the promotion of well-being. A comprehensive well-being report and plan is drawn up once a council term and its implementation is monitored and evaluated in annual reports.
