Land Revenue Commission

The task of the Rural Service of Sydän-Savo is to take care of the organisation of rural administration in municipalities, the tasks of public authorities under the Act on the organisation of rural administration, the development of rural livelihoods and the development of the rural environment in accordance with the agreement on the formation of a rural administration cooperation area.

In the rural administration cooperation area, decision-making power is exercised by the joint body of the municipalities referred to in § 77 of the Municipal Act, the Rural Council of Siilinjärvi municipality. The competence of the rural committee of the cooperation area is defined in the statutes of the rural committee.

The rural management cooperation area includes 11 municipalities: Kaavi, Kuopio, Leppävirta, Rautalampi, Rautavaara, Siilinjärvi, Suonenjoki, Tervo, Tuusniemi, Varkaus and Vesanto.
