Digital Capability training series starts 8.10.2025
The training will provide companies in North Savo with practical knowledge on digital marketing and security:
-Using social media
-Search engine optimisation (SEO)
Website and e-commerce development
-Cybersecurity and information security

KYVYKÄS project
The project started in March 2025 and will run until 31 December 2027. The project focuses in particular on developing the skills, adaptability and innovation capacity of enterprises. Through training, coaching, peer learning and company-specific sparring, businesses in the region will be equipped with a comprehensive set of tools to grow profitably and respond to the increasingly rapid changes in the business environment. Business diversification and innovation will be supported through the provision of expert services, peer learning, coaching and business coaching to meet the needs of different businesses.
Results that are felt in everyday life
The impact of the KYVYKÄS project will be felt on many levels: companies will take steps to develop new products and services, productivity will improve and well-being at work will increase. This will ensure the long-term vitality of the entire North Savo region.
National cooperation is key
The project will be implemented as a group project covering the entire North Savo region in close cooperation between five partners (Development Company SavoGrow, City of Kuopio, City of Iisalmi, Navitas Development, Municipality of Siilinjärvi). Each partner is responsible for implementing the measures in its own area, but the services and training provided by the project are available to businesses throughout the region.

Meet business expert Anna Huttus
I started as a business developer in Siilinjärvi municipality 3.3.2025
I have been a full-time entrepreneur in the circular economy for the last ten years. Entrepreneurship, sustainability, innovation and business development have become very familiar to me through my work. I am familiar with the region’s entrepreneurial networks, municipal organisation and business life through my positions of trust and as a member of the Board of Siilinjärvi Entrepreneurs and Savo Entrepreneurs. Through my tasks, I may already be familiar to many of you and I believe that my experience also provides me with good qualifications for the task of business developer with a practical approach.
I have a Master of Business Administration (YAMK) and specialise in innovation process management, which in practice means developing and managing services, products and business. Customer perspective, operating environment, technical and financial perspective, sales and marketing are an essential part of the development work and from these starting points I will develop business services and help companies to develop their own business.
During the project, we will map the skills needs of businesses in the North Savo region, develop networks and organise various workshops, training and company-specific coaching according to the needs of entrepreneurs. I will be responsible for the municipalities of Siilinjärvi, Kaavi and Tuusniemi. At the same time, we will develop the business services of the municipalities in the region to be more customer-oriented and introduce new digital services, among other things.
