By participating you can make a difference
In Siilinjärvi, our aim is for everyone to be heard and to have the opportunity to act, participate and influence. You can influence the municipality’s affairs, for example, by voting in municipal elections. You can also respond to surveys, give feedback, participate in events and take initiatives. You can also make a difference by contacting elected representatives and officials.

Volunteering
Do you want to volunteer to promote the well-being of the people of Siilinjärvi? There are many opportunities to volunteer with a variety of people and issues. One form of volunteering is to act as a physical activity peer supervisor or outdoor activity buddy for an elderly person. The municipality of Siilinjärvi organises training for peer counselling and outdoor activities. Training courses are announced in the current events section.
