Parking rules and regulations are enforced by parking inspectors. Parking inspectors can issue parking fines for incorrect parking.

In Siilinjärvi, the current fee will be EUR 40 from 1.7.2020. A customer who is dissatisfied with the parking fines can take the matter to the parking attendant. Siilinjärvi and Kuopio City have a joint parking attendant at Suokatu 42 (council and office building). It is easy to submit a correction request online or at the customer service desk of the Siilinjärvi Library.

Free parking is available in Siilinjärvi, but it is limited by time restrictions. According to the legislation, in parking spaces with a time limit, the time of arrival must be clearly indicated on the windscreen. The Siilinjärvi parking control still recommends the use of digital or manual parking discs. This arrangement will ensure equal access for all.
