The Finnish model for leisure activities in Siilinjärvi

The aim of the Finnish model is to give every child and young person the opportunity to enjoy a fun and free activity during the school day. The starting point is to offer activities based on the wishes of the children and young people themselves. Siilinjärvi municipality has been involved in the Finnish model for leisure activities since autumn 2021. The Regional State Administrative Office supports the activities with a project grant.

Activities are free of charge and are generally organised throughout the school year. You can view the range of activities and register here. The activities are organised by local clubs and organisations.
