TE services 2024 reform

The aim of the reform is to bring TE services – public employment and business services – closer to customers, speed up employment and give municipalities more tools to strengthen the vitality of the region. This will strengthen growth and prosperity in a sustainable way.

All jobseekers will receive job search services in their own municipality from the beginning of 2025. Businesses will also receive recruitment and business growth services from their municipalities. Employment services will become part of the basic services of every municipality, in the same way as services related to education or community building, for example.

What does the change mean for the jobseeker?

If you are already a client of TE services or the municipal pilot scheme, the reform does not require you to take any action. Your customer status will automatically be transferred to the employment area. Your rights and obligations as a jobseeker-client will also remain unchanged.

Continue your job search as planned and report any changes in the Job Finder’s Contact section as you have done so far. We will contact you if necessary. In addition to services and clients, the municipality will also receive staff from the TE Office. This means that your own expert may change with the reform.

What does the change mean for the employer?

The reform does not require any action from employers either, as the data will be kept in the customer information system. At Työmarkkinator, the company’s My Account service will remain an online channel after the reform. If you are unable to submit a contact request in My Account, please contact us by phone on 044 718 7500, by email at tyonavigaattori@kuopio.fi or visit us at the TyöNavigaator.

What does change mean?

If you are already a client of TE services, you do not need to do anything special, even if your service provider changes at the turn of the year. Do the things agreed in your plan on time. We will inform you of any changes on this website and contact you in person if necessary.

When you apply for a job or worker, you should always log on to Työmarkkinatori (tyomarkkinatori.fi), which is a meeting place for jobs and people. You will find information, services and vacancies related to working life. When you log on to the Job Marketplace, you can create a job profile or a job advertisement, for example. You will also find a comprehensive guide to help you find what you are looking for.

If you need labour market services for the first time in 2025 or beyond, you can contact your local authority and we will help and guide you. For more information and guidance on job search or recruitment, contact your local service point, the website of your local employment area or the Labour Market Centre.

There will be three employment areas in North Savo:
