Sand removal starts on Tuesday 24.3.2026

Siilinjärvi’s spring street cleaning will start on Tuesday 24.3.2026 in the city centre area. The work will proceed in stages on pedestrian and cycling routes, then on main roads and finally on residential streets.

Sand removal is carried out by both the municipality and several contractors, which means that different areas are completed at slightly different times. Finally, the main roads are also washed once the sand has been removed.
